Carl Edwards dominates big time at Memphis.

Qualifying went without a hitch for the Kroger for the cure 250 at Memphis Motorsports park.  Getting the poll was James Buescher who is the third youngest driver to grab a Nationwide series poll.   Double duty drivers that include Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards are going to be starting in the back today since they missed qualifying.

Last year the race had a grand total of 25 cautions for 117 laps and lasted around three hours.

Starting in his first Nationwide series race is Marc Davis who is an 18 year-old African American under a driver development program for Joe Gibbs.  He qualified fourth.

Joey Logano says that he feels his car is better than where they are starting.

The start of the race was like years race as Jason Keller helped spin out Brad Keselowksi on lap one.  This finally led to an okay green flag run that saw Mike Bliss march his way to the lead of the race and then at lap 27 the caution came out as Clint Bowyer helped spin out Marcos Ambrose.  By this time David Reutimann rocketed up the field to seventh.

The green flag drops and Carl Edwards starts moving up big time with his fresh tires. At lap 44 Ron Young spins out, but did not bring out the caution.   By lap 60 Carl was up to second place, but around 2 seconds back of Mike Bliss.

Tens laps later and Carl Edwards is leading the race.  Carl continued to march through lap traffic and by lap 90 points leader Clint Bowyer was put one lap down.  At lap 100 only 16 cars were left on the lead lap and Carl had a five second lead over Mike Bliss.

Around lap 107 it got to green flag pit stops for cars that did not pit around lap 30.  By lap 120 it was only a small handful of cars on the lead lap.  At lap 125 the caution finally came out for a spinning car.  This left a grand total of five cars on the lead lap after the lucky dog pass was handed out.

With 50 laps left it was up to 6 seconds over Joey. With 40 laps left it was 7.5 seconds, but in a couple more laps it all went away as Ron Young spun out.  This put David Reutimann back on the lead lap with no extra cars one lap down.

Joey Logano came down to pit for some tires and gave up his second place spot giving the spot to David Reutimann.  This time when the green flag dropped Carl did not get a good lead and in a couple of laps Brian Keselowski spins out.

The green/white checker flag flies and both Carl and David get a good restart.  David tried a move down low, but it never worked and Carl Edwards goes on to win the race.
