Martin Truex Jr. wins his first Daytona 500 poll.

With a speed of 188.001MPH Martin Truex Jr. picked up his first Daytona 500 poll.  On the front row with him is going to be Mark Martin with 187.817 MPH.  Mark had the poll for a long time until Martin took the poll.

"Great way to start off the season," said Martin Truex Jr.

"Great run for the US Army Chevrolet," said Ryan Newman.  Ryan qualifed third.

"I think we had a little bit more," said Juan Pablo Montoya who qualified fourth.

Jeff Gordon said that he was happy to pick up 2 to 3 tenths. Jeff qualified ninth on the day.

"Could do no better," said Bobby Labonte.  He Qualified 11th.

"Car rolls good," said Dale Earnhardt Jr. who qualifed 12th.

"A little disappointing," said Kyle Busch.  Kyle Qualifed in 15th.

The fastest three go-or-go home drivers are Bill Elliott, Travis Kvapil, and Tony Stewart who have a guaranteed spot in the Daytona 500 due to qualifying speed.   Terry Labonte will also have a guarenteed spot with the use of his past championship provisional.
