Kyle dominates at Bristol.

Mark Martin picked up his second poll in a roll as he goes for a win today at Bristol in the Food City 500.

"Its been a great track for us," said Jeff Gordon.  "Hard place to win," said Tony Stewart.

At the drop of the green flag it only took until lap thee to get Ryan Newman in the lead of the race.  He led the race and then at lap 27 the first caution of the day popped up for a John Andretti spin.

Jimmie Johnson stayed out to lead the race and a few more cars in the back of the field stayed out at well. The green flag dropped and we quickly got back to the yellow flag on lap 33 for a Dave Blaney spin.

Green flag racing continued with Jimmie in the lead and the next caution came out on lap 60 for Todd Bodine who crashes.  Also winding up with damage from this is Kurt Busch and Kevin Harvick.

Jimmie Johnson still stays out and does not pit to keep the lead of the race.  The green flag dropped at lap 68 and in a couple laps it was Kyle Busch in the lead.  He kept the lead and started to put some cars a lap down.  The caution finally came out on lap 123 as Jamie McMurrary spins out with some help from Juan Pablo Montoya.

This brought in all the cars on the lead lap and Kyle Busch was able to lead all the cars off pit road.  During this green flag run Kyle was able to get an over 2 second lead over Jimmie.  The though finally came out again lap 189 for a Jamie McMurray spin.

At lap 196 the green flag drops and then we get a monster long green flag run with Kyle Busch leading almost all the laps.  This time he starts to put a whole bunch of cars one lap down.

At lap 311 it was David Gilliland hitting the wall, but somehow does not bring out the caution.  At lap 318 Denny Hamlin was finally able to get the lead of the race from Jimmie Johnson.

The caution though finally comes out on lap 319 for Brian Vickers and his cut tire.  That left a grand total of 18 cars left on the lead lap.

This time after all the cars come in for tires and fuel Jimmie Johnson was able to get the lead of the race off pit road.  At lap 329 the green flag dropped and another monster long green flag run occurred.  Around lap 355 it was all over for the engine on Greg Biffle and his car.

At lap 369 it was Kyle Busch who finally marched his was back up into the lead of the race.   At lap 400 it was Kyle Busch in the lead with Jimmie Johnson in second, and Denny Hamlin in third.  With 59 laps to go a tire blew on the Kevin Harvick car to bring out the caution.

Kyle Busch won the race off pit road with Denny Hamlin in second.  Jimmie Johnson got out in fifth.  This time we only got a short green flag and the caution came out with 45 laps left for a David Stremme spin.

With 31 laps left Jimmie moved his way around Mark Martin for fourth.  Jimmie finally got third spot as he passed Kasey Kahne with 13 laps left.  Denny Hamlin at the time was around a half second back of Kyle Busch.

With seven laps left the Engine on Joey Logano gave out to bring out the caution.

The green/white checker flag comes out and Kyle Busch gets a great restart onto his second win at this track.

"Just awesome," said Kyle Busch.  "Guys were great on pit road today."

"We had a long run car," said Denny Hamlin.

"What a day for us," said Jimmie Johnson.

"Were in championship form right now," said Jeff Gordon. "Great points day."

"The car was just fantastic all day," said Marcos Ambrose.

Mark Martin said that his car was rolling on the long green flag runs.

Jeff Gordon still leaves Bristol as the leader in points by almost 90 points to the drivers of Kyle and Kurt Busch.
