The Pit Stop

Talladega thoughts....

The race on Saturday had a great finish, but....

That Sunday race was one of the most exciting most action packed races I have seen in a while.

I know we are talking about Brad Keselowski winning the race, but lets also talk about Phoenix Racing as well that fielded his car.  It is the first Sprint Cup win for the team ever.  Way to go Phoenix Racing

At lap seven we needed to go four wide racing?!?!?!?!  That is not the final lap.

The outside line was simply amazing when two cars got really hooked up together.  They could pass cars with no effort what so ever.

The final lap wreck was certainly amazing and everything did its job.  The Sprint Cup car is built like a tank which helped Carl survived his amazing ride.

The fence did its job keeping the car away from the fans and as much of the debris away from the fans as possible.  We has some injuries, but no deaths.

Does this mean that we have to change the track and the cars though???

I say that the fence does need a real good look at.  I think it can get a bit stronger without ruining the viewing for the fans in the stands.

I would like to see the yellow line rule dumped on the final lap even though Carl could of had that wild ride on lap 55.

You could put a different restrictor plate in the car.  That will help keep the cars on the ground, but it will not fully eliminate what Carl did or stop a big wreck from occurring.
