Third Sprint Cup Driver Previews Article

RCS.png This is my third round of Sprint Cup Driver previews going from car 42 to car 99.  Next up will be part time teams.

42--Juan Pablo Montoya--Earnhardt Ganassi Racing
Finished in 8th place with 18 top tens with no wins. I say Target will be back to sponsor this car. I say he will come back to make the chase again, get one win, get 15-20 top tens and finish 5-7th place in the points.

43--A.J. Allmendinger--Richard Petty Motorsports
Finished 24th in 2009 with only six top tens and no wins. Best Buy and other companies will sponsor this car. I say he could be a bit of a surprise in 2010. He will get at least ten top tens with no wins, but finish 16-19th place in the points.

47--Marcos Ambrose--JTG Daugherty Racing
Marcos had 7 top tens onto a 18th place finish in the points. Little Debbie, Kleenex and other companies will sponsor this car. I say he will do better this year than last with at least 10 top ten place finishes and finish 13-14th place in the points.

48--Jimmie Johnson--Rick Hendrick
Won his fourth championship in a row while breaking out seven wins and 24 top tens. Lowe's Home Improvement will be back to sponsor this car. I say he will pick up another 5-8 wins and 20-25 top tens on his way to a 2-3rd place finish in the points.

56--Martin Truex. Jr.--Michael Waltrip Racing

This car was the #55 last year which had only two top tens and finishes 33rd in the points. Martin though finished 23rd with six top tens and no wins. NAPA will be back as the sponsor. I say he gets 5-8 top tens in 2010 and has a shot to steel a win. I say he finishes 22-25th place in the points.

77--Sam Hornish Jr.--Penske Racing
Picked up seven top tens and a 28th place finish in the points. Mobil 1 will be back to sponsor this car. I say that he can get 10 top tens in 2010 and finished 25-29th place in the points.

82--Scott Speed--Red Bull Racing
Finished 35th place in the points with one top ten. Red Bull is going to sponsor this car. I say he get no more than 2 top tens in 2010 and finishes 32-35th place in the points.

83--Brian Vickers--Red Bull Racing

Picked up one win and 13 top tens on his way to finishing 12th place in the standings. Red Bull will be back to sponsor him. I say he get no wins in 2010, and 10-15 top tens in 2010. He will finish 15-17th place in the standings.

88--Dale Earnhardt Jr.--Rick Hendrick
Had a cruddy 2009 season where finished 25th place in the points with only five top tens. Army National Guard and Amp Energy drink will be back to sponsor this car. He could steel a win in 2010, but I do not think so. He will get around 15 top tens and finish 15-17th place in the points.

98--Paul Menard--Richard Petty Motorsports
He finished the 2009 season with no top tens and a 31st place in the points. Menard's will be back to sponsor his car again. I see him getting no more than five top twenty place finishes all season long and finish 29-32nd place in the points.

99--Carl Edwards--Roush Fenway

Finished 11th place in the points with fourteen top tens and no wins. Aflac, Kellogg's, and other companies will sponsor him in 2010. I say Carl gets back into victory lane a couple times in 2010 and gets 15-20 top tens. He will finish 6-9th place in the points at the end of the year.
