Keselowski Takes Second Race Of The Day

Rain for the second week in a row pushed back the start date for the Nationwide Series. Kevin Harvick though was able to qualify his car on the poll for the event. Time though could wind up being the key factor for this race as it could wind up ending early due to being too dark to race.

This race winds up starting a bit differently then the first race as Kevin Harivck leads laps. It led to very little passing for the lead of the race. Jamie McMurray then gets the lead of race and keeps it while the big one occurs on lap 21. Rickey Stenhouse Jr. takes out Carl Edwards and then he winds up taking out Brendan Gaughan, Clint Boyer, Colin Braun, Mike Wallace, Steven Wallace, and more.

The caution wound up taking the place of the competition yellow they were going to have. The green flag drops on lap 29 and Kyle Busch needed one lap to win the race to first place. It did not last long and Kevin was in the lead again, but then he got hung out to dry on the high side as Jamie McMurray was in the lead again.

At lap 45 it was Carl Edwards who wound up with a flat tire and spinning out his car to bring out the next caution. During the pit stops Joey Logano winds up taking the gas can with him off pit road. Jamie McMurray winds up getting busted for speeding on pit road.

Brad Keselowski winds up leading the race this time while Jamie McMurray quickly moved he way into the top ten. Then after a couple lead changes it was Kyle Busch leading the race. At lap 70 it was Paul Menard now getting to lead some laps, but Kyle was back in the lead at lap 72. Kyle could not hold the lead and Paul Menard was able to take the lead back again.

At lap 81 Kevin Harvick was able to take the lead of the race. Around lap 90 it was green flag pit stop time for most of the field. Kyle Busch would up getting hit from behind causing some good sheet metal damage, but did not being out the caution. He wound up having to make an extra pit stop ending a good day for him.

After the pit stops were over Kevin Harvick was back leading laps. Around 15 laps left in the race for a couple of seconds it was five wide racing, but did not bring out the caution. With 8 laps left Jamie McMurray got shuffled back as he pushed to the outside. With six laps left Clint Boyer was able to push Brad Keselowski to the lead.

With 5 laps left another big wreck occurs. This one occurs as Colin Braun gets spun out by Steve Arpin. Also winding up getting wrecked was Kyle Busch and Morgan Shepherd. Kyle Busch stated that when he was out front he was fine, but when he got back he had to get out of everyone's way.

This led to the first and only green/white checker of the day. On the final lap Jamie McMurray gets spun out causing the biggest wreck of the day which saw Dennis Setzer and his car get into the catch fence.
Brad Keselowski was the leader at the end and picks up the win.

Brad stated that he felt like he was not going to be able to run the second races as his carbon monzxide levels were too high.

"The car was really good," said Jason Keller.

"I got hit so hard," said Carl Edwards on the early wreck. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. stated that he hit the breaks as hard as he could.
