Major Comeback For Kyle Busch

The Nationwide Series drivers are back in action for a short 200 mile race at Phoenix. Carl Edwards a couple hours before the race started won the poll for the event.

"Really good in race trim," said Kevin Harvick.

Denny Hamlin is back to racing after his surgery with David Reutimann on hand as the backup driver if he can't go all the way.

The green flag started with a short battle that Kyle Busch won to take the lead of the race. Then at lap six a battle for
second place occurred where after a couple laps Brad Keselowski was able to take over second place. The first caution on the night came out on lap 15 for Michael Annett spinning out.

The caution brought in most of the leaders including Kyle Busch. The green flag drops and Kyle quickly moves up the field. The caution comes out again on lap 31 for Clint Boyer and his slow car. This caution brought in most of the cars on the lead lap, but Kyle stays out to lead the race.

Kyle Busch quickly gets the lead and finally gets to put a whole bunch of cars one lap down this time. The caution finally comes out on lap 73 for Michael Annett again as he has some break problems. The leaders pitted and Kyle Bucsh won the race off pit road.

It was another green flag that saw Kyle Busch lead more laps. Brad Keselowski though was to get to second place on lap 83 as he passed Joey Logano.

The next caution finally comes out at lap 112 for the crashing cars of Steven and Mike Wallace. Steven blew a tire and then hit Mike. This caution brought in the leaders with Kyle Busch winning the race off pit road again.

On the restart Kyle quickly took the lead of the race again. It was another short green flag run this time and at lap 128 it was Mike Bliss smacking into the wall. Mike Bliss stated that he was going backwards.

Right at the drop of the green flag on lap 138 the red flag comes out for a major wreck in the back involving Landon Cassill, Derrike Cope, James Buescher, Clint Boyer, Trevor Bayne, and more.

"We just got pushed into that mess," said Trevor Bayne.

Around nine minutes later the yellow flag came out again. With Brad Keselowski starting sooner than Kyle Busch he wound up with the lead of the race at the red flag.

The green flag finally dropped at lap 145. Kyle Busch with the rocket of a restart took the lead of the race. Then he gave up the lead trying to avoid a pass trough penalty, but could not avoid it. The penalty put him around 19th spot, but still on the lead lap.

This put Joey Logano into second place. Around 30 laps left in the race and Joey was closing the gap to Brad. With 21 laps left Joey was to pass him for the lead of the race. The debris caution finally came out with 13 laps left, by the time of the caution Kyle was up to 11th.

During the pit stops Justin Allgaier wound up getting spun out in pit road. Joey Logano also wound up hitting Kyle Busch. Both wound up with damage to their cars.

Joey restarted the race in the lead. In the back Kyle Busch goes three wide to get into the top five. Then in a couple laps he got the lead from Joey and then went on to win the race. In a monstrous burnout he shredded a rear tire.

"It was super super fast," said Kyle on his car. He stated that Joey could have won the race.

I had a lot of fun stated Brad Keselowski.

Brendan Gaughan stated that he passed Greg Biffle and did not want to give it up.
