Brad Takes the Guitar....

The Nationwide Series is alone for the first time in a while as the drivers are in Nashville for the Federated Auto Parts 300. Before the race started qualifying took place and Justin Allgaier won the poll for the event. The winner for the race gets a custom guitar.painted by Sam Bass.

"So many fast guys right now," said Carl Edwards. "Really happy on my qualifying position," said Brad Coleman.

The green flag drops and at lap four the first caution comes out for Coleman Pressley that spins out. Brian Ickler and Michael McDowell also wind up with damage as well. This led to a long green flag run with Justin Allgaier leading more laps.

Carl Edwards was slowly moving up the field and made it second place at lap 33. Carl was also slowly chipping into the lead that Justin had. Then traffic really got to Justin and Carl was able to get right behind him by lap 57.

At lap 59 Justin started green flag pit stops and in a couple laps Michael McDowell blows a tire to bring out the caution. The caution brought in the rest of the cars on the lad lap and Carl Edwards was easily able to win the race off pit road.
The green flag drops and Carl quickly took the lead of the race. Carl was able to build a lead of over 1 second over Paul Menard and then the caution came out again on lap 86 fro Jason Leffler and his car that went up in smoke. "Alternator went bad," said Jason.

This caution also brought in the leaders. A couple cars do not take any tires to get track position. Carl Edwards though still wins the race off pit road. After the green flag dropped he was leading more laps with Brad Keselowski in second now.

The caution came out again on lap 107 as Michael Annett and Scott Lagasse Jr. get together. The leaders pitted and Reed Sorenson wins the race off pit road this time. This was a short green flag run and Scott Wimmer hit the wall on lap 118. Another short green flag run occurs and Trevor Bayne crashes on lap 127 due to a bad tire.

The green flag drops with Brad Keselowski in the lead this time. Carl Edwards was able move up through the field again and get back into second place and the caution came out again on lap 165 for debris. This brought in the leaders and Brad won the race off pit road again.

Brad was able to get into a good sized lead this time with Justin Allgaier and Carl Edwards fighting over second place. With 28 laps left the caution came out for the smoking car of Brian Scott. Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski stay out with the other cars come down pit road for service. A bunch of cars only take two tires.

The green flag drops with 23 laps left and Brad was able to win the race for the lead after a short battle with Carl. Brad was able to get his lead up over a second and continue to grow it as he went on to win the race.

"It was pretty good," said Brad Keselowski on the car. "Proud to be here in victory lane."

Carl Edwards sated that Brad was faster than him on the final restart.

Paul Menard started that he got too tight in the end.
