Jimmie Johnson Takes Another Race

Martin Truex Jr. stated that he had a good car.

At the start of the race it was Juan Pablo Montoya leading the race withy the early rocket being A. J. Allmendinger. Juan kept on leading laps until the debris caution came out on lap 35. This caution brought in the leader and with some pit strategy and with a two tire stop Kasey Kahne wound up with the lead of the race.

The green flag drops and Juan Pablo Montoya made it three wide a couple time to move his way back up to the front Kasey Kahne keeps on leading the race as A.J. Allmendinger slowly marches his way up into the top ten. Kahne is still in the lead at lap 87 as Tony Stewart makes an early pit stop due to not filling the car up on the last caution. Around 20 laps later and the first round of green flag pit stops start.

During this time Jimmie Johnson got ot lead the race, but his pit stop was a few seconds slow and fell back to ninth on the track. After pit stops were over Tony Stewart had the lead briefly before Kasey Kahne too it back. A.J Allmendinger was still slowly moving up the field as the green flag laps still kept on going. Kyle Busch started getting hot and with traffic helping out on lap 153 Kyle got to lead the race.

With green flag racing still going on Tony had to make another green flag stop at lap 161. The rest of the cars left on the lead lap came in around lap 175. After all the pit stops were over Kyle Busch kept the lead of the race and around half of the field was at least one lap down.

After lap 200 with green flag laps going down in a hurry Jeff Burton was right behind Kyle Busch for the lead of the race. Jeff took the lead on the next lap. At lap 205 it was Kaey Kahne complaining of engine problems and by lap 211 he was out of the top 10.

At lap 221 Jeff Burton left only 17 cars on the lead lap. Kasey Kahne and his car finally got so bad it finally gave up on lap 238 to bring out the second caution on the day. At lap 235 though Tony already made his third green flag pit stop of the day. He was able restart the race in 14th.

"The car was good," said Kasey Kahne. "Had an opportunity to win the race."

The caution brought in the leaders and Jeff Burton was able to keep the lead of the race with Kyle Busch out in second. The green flag drops and Jeff quickly took the lead of the race. He kept on leading laps as Jimmie Johnson started to close in on Jeff for the lead of the race.

With 20 laps we got caution three as Reed Sorenson hits Juan Pablo Montoya and spins him out. Jeff Burton though stays out while other cars on the lead lap pit. The green flag drops with 14 laps left and Jimmie Johnson gets the lead of the race. A couple laps later and then Jeff Burton hits Kyle Busch and Kyle Spins out. Both Jeff and Kyle loose a lot of spots.

With 8 laps left the race starts again and Kurt Busch taps Jimmie just hard enough to take the lead of the race. Jimmie started to get hot again and was able to take the lead of the race again with 2 laps left. Tony Stewart got right along Kurt to get second place and to give Jimmie the lead of the race.

"We had a great car," said Jimmie Johnson. He stated that on the second time he move Kurt out of the way.

"We battled the best we could," said Kurt Busch. He also stated that at the end out car was strong on the short run.

"We had a great car," said Jeff Burton.

"A long fight but we got to the top 2," said Tony Stewart.

"I washed up the track," said Kyle Busch.

Jeff Gordon stated that he had a really string car at the start of the race.

"Solid, day," said Kevin Harvick.
