Joey Stays Perfect At Kentucky

Joey Logano looks to remain perfect at Kentucky Speedway as he goes for his third win in his third start. He also has his third poll at this track where he easily won the thing.

"Good Gamestop Toyota behind me," said Joey Logano. "Great racecar," said Brad Keselowski. Excited about this race," said Carl Edwards. Great start position," said Reed Soresnon.

After the Brian Scott spin and caution on lap 1 we got to some good green flag racing. Carl Edwards was dropping back big time as he had a loose car. At lap 21 though the caution saved Carl Edwards as Brian Scott spins out again. This caution also took over the competition caution that was to come out on lap 25.

The leaders pit and tire strategy put Brad Coleman in the lead of the race with Joey Logano coming out in fifth. This led to a long green flag run that saw Brad lead some laps, then at lap 33 saw Brad Coleman in the lead as Joey was just slowly moving up the field to second. The caution came out on lap 75 for Willie Allen who hits the wall hard. Carl Edwards though was able to move up the field a bit and stay on the lead lap.

The leaders pitted and Joey Logano with the great pit stop beat all the cars off pit road. Carl was out in 14th. During this green flag run Joey led more laps as Carl was able to move up the field and into the top ten for the first time tonight.

The caution finally comes out again on lap 113 for Tayler Malasm who smacks the wall really hard destroying the rear end of the car. The leaders pit and Justin Allgaier lead the race off pit road with a two tire stop. Joey Loagano came out third.

The green flag finally comes out at lap 121. Justin led all the laps in this short green flag run as Joey moved back into second. At lap 133 a debris caution comes out. This did bring in the leaders as a bunch took fuel only and Joey was back in the lead of the race again.

The green flag drops and Brian Ickler who does not get a good restart winds up taking a wild ride in the grass. Also getting damage on the restart was Justin Allgaier and Reed Sorenson.

The green flag drops again and Joey leads the race again, but it was not long and Brian Ickler winds up spinning out and hitting the wall. Another short green flag run occurs and the caution comes out for parts flying off the Brad Coleman car after it hits the wall.

This time after the green flag dropped Mike Bliss was able to get the lead of the race, but it was not long and the cars of Jason Leffler, Paul Menard, and Michael Annett get together. "I had no where to go when I got up there," said Michael Annett. "Just three cars all in one spot," said Jason Leffler.

A big mess load of rain by this time was in the area and could fall at anytime.

With 32 laps left the green flag drops and Joey gets the lead back. A couple laps go by and Mike Bliss spins out. This time after the green flag drops Brendan Gaughan got the lead of the race, but it did not last long and he fell back to third.

With 15 laps left it was Carl Edwards in second chasing down Joey for the lead of the race. With 9 laps Left Carl got right behind Joey, but traffic killed a chance for Carl to take the lead. With four laps left more lapped traffic occurred for both Joey and Carl which helped Joey win the race.

"It's all Joey Loagno,": said Kevin Kidd on his domination at the track. Kevin is the crew chief for Joey.

"I'm speechless right now," said Joey Logano. "I'm glad the rain held off."

"it feels really good," said Carl Edwards on his second place finish

Brad Keselowski stated that if he keeps finishing in the top five that no way Carl will win the championship.
