Chicagoland Thoughts

Boy was that a great Saturday night race.  I just love a win from a non power team.  David Reutiman got his second victory of the career.  David is in the right car and on the right team.  He is no Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, or Kyle Busch that right now is winning like 5 plus races a season.  When they win it is not special at all.  David and his win was special, a reason to love and watch the sport of NASCAR.

David right now is only 94 points out from making the chase and this driver has a legit shot at making the chase.

Dancia did have her Nationwide Series race and car so far.  Too bad her qualifying effort was so poor or she could of had a top 20 finish.

Carl Edwards is going to need some more Brad Keselowski screw up to get the lead in the points.  He will certainly have those changes at the two upcoming road course races where Brad is not so great at right now.

If Richard Petty Motorsports has the sponsorships lined up for the 2011 season why not bring all the drivers they have now back for the 2001 season.  That will include Kasey Kahne for one more season even though he has signed a deal with Rick Hendrick that will move Kasey Kahne over into the #5 car that Mark Martin drives.  Kasey needs a ride next year and Rick Hendrick has not come out with any details on where he is going to drive next year.
