"Got a good car," said Trevor Bayne. "Really Good Race car," said Brad Keselewoski. Kevin Harvick stated that he did not qualify as well as he wanted. "It's one of the most fun races for me," said Carl Edwards. Carl likes to bike ride some 200 miles to the race track for this race.
This race also marks the debut for Ryan Truex in the Nationwide Series. Ryan is the younger brother of Martin Truex Jr. who is in the Sprint Cup series.
At the drop of the green flag Trevor Bayne got the lead of a race for a couple laps and the Brad Keselowski took over the race lead. He kept on leading the way until the first caution came out on lap 45 for debris. After the caution came out Jason Keller and a Ryan during this time was slowly moving up the field.
This brought in all the leaders and Trevor Bayne was able to get the lead of the race back. Trevor though quickly lost it again to Brad after the green flag dropped. Kevin Harvick moved up to second place, but could not do anything at all. Ryan was still slowly moving his way up the field and getting closer and closer to the top 10.
Lap 109 saw Ryan Truex pitting for service. Then in a few more laps the mass load of green flag pit stop started. Brad Keselwoski spins out on lap 121 trying to get to pit lane, but does not bring out the caution. He fell to third place giving Kevin Harvick the lead of the race. At lap 124 Ryan was up to the 10th spot.
Carl Edwards got hot and then took the lead away from Kevin Harvick on lap 128. A few laps later and Brad was back into second place. Then at lap 142 it was Brad getting the lead of the race back.
Green flag racing finally comes to a stop on lap 143 for debris. The leaders pit and Brad Keselowski with a two tire stop wins the race off pit road. Only two cars out in the top ten took two tires.
The green drops and Carl Edwards quickly got the lead of the race. It was short green flag run and at lap 150 Matt Dibenedetto looses it and takes out his teammate Brad Coleman
"I had no where to go," said Brad Coleman. "I'll be fine," said Matt. "I absolutely could not hang on to it."
The green flag finally drops with 40 laps left and Carl Edwards was easily able to get the lead of the race again. It took Brad eight laps, but he was finally able to pass Carl for the lead of the race. The caution finally comes out again with 22 laps left as Ryan Truex spins out.
Brad Keselowski wins the race off pit road with his two tire stop while Paul Menard was able to come out second with his two tire pit stop. Reed Sorenson, Trevor Bayne and a few more cars though stay out.
The green flag drops with 17 laps left and Trevor Bayne wins the lead of the race. Brad was quickly moving up the field and got to second place with 13 laps left. As he got right behind Trevor the caution comes out as Kevin Harvick smacks the wall really hard.
The green flag drops with eight laps left and Trevor Bayne winds up going high in turn one which causes Carl Edwards to get into second place. Then we get into some wilder three racing in the back. Then with six laps left Justin Allgaier with tire problems winds up taking out Joe Nemechek and Tayler Malsam.
It brought out the red flag to clean up the mess, but it did not last long. This brought out the green/white checker finish. At the restart of the race it was a big battle for the lead of the race with Carl Edwards winning the first for the lead, but on the final lap Brad wound up touching Carl getting him loose enough to take the lead of the race. Then after the final corner Carl and Brad touch each other again and this time Brad spins out big time causing a massive wreck to occur. Brad wound up having to get smashed into by another car in order for him to pass the finish line and compete every single lap.
Carl Edwards stated that that he couldn't allow Keselowski to take the win from him and that he had to do what he had to do. He did say that Brad could have won the race if they were side by side at the finish line.
Reed Sorenson stated that he hoped both cars(Carl and Brad) would have crashed in order to get the win.
"A really enduring race," said Trevor Bayne.
