Danika Patrick is back again and stated that she had a ninth place qualifying time, but messed up a turn in qualifying.
"Dodge Challenger is so fast," said Brad Keselwoski. "Cars really draft," said Carl Edwards. Justin Allgaier stated that it will be one of the best race days of the year.

The green flag drops and Brad Keselowski quickly get s a 2 second lead over Ryan Truex. At lap four Ryan Newman wound up with tire problems and headed to pit road. Jeremy Clements at lap 27 was the next car to pit for tires as Brad was putting more and more cars one lap down. Danika came in for service at lap 31 as she was not moving up at all from her 33rd place starting position.

Ryan Truex at lap 36 started off the big first round of green flag pit stops. Brad pitted a couple laps later. Kevin Harvick though wound up with a gas can penalty and wound up having to make another pit stop. At lap 42 Brad got the lead back as the final cars pitted, but this time Brad had a five second plus lead over Ryan Truex.

As the green flag racing continued Paul Menard moved his way up to second spot. At lap 60 though Paul was 11.4 seconds back of Brad for the lead of the race. At lap 62 it was finally caution time as Chase Austin slowed up big time. The caution though was a big time save for Kevin Harvick as he survived as the last car on the lead lap.

The caution also brought in the leaders and Brad Keselwoski struggled big time to get off pit road, but still wound up loosing only spot on pit road.

The green flag drops and Paul Menard takes over leading laps while Brad struggles to get the lead back while fighting with Carl Edwards for second place.

At lap 71 it was Jason Leffler slows big time, but does not bring out the caution. "Something in the motor," said Jason.
Five more laps go by and Carl Edwards was top take the lead away from Paul Menard who dropped to third. Then Brad started to get hot again and eight laps later was able to get the lead back from Carl. Brad started to pull away from Carl, but then lapped traffic brought them closer together.

With 25 laps left Kevin Harvick started the final round of green flag pit stops. Brad came down four laps later for service, but wound up almost 5 seconds back of Carl after the pits stops were over. With 14 laps left Robert Richardson Jr. scrapes the wall and brings out the second caution on the day.

The caution did bring a bunch of cars down pit road for service including Kevin Harvick who had a lengthy pit stop to look over his car. The top six cars though did not stop.

The green flag drops with nine laps left and as Brad Keselowski quickly took the lead of the race, Brendan Gaughan slows and smokes big time, but does not bring out the caution. Brad was able to build up his lead and then win the race as Carl was fighting with Justin Allgaier, and Kyle Bsuch for second.

"This one was even harder," said Brad on his second win at Michigan.

"Just wished our car was a little faster," said Carl Edwards.

"We didn't have a third place car at all," said Kyle Busch.

Justin Allgaier stated that it was a great day for the Verizon Challenger.

"Had a lot of fun today," said Ryan Truex.

"I'm glad I held onto it for the first half of the race," said Danika Patrick who finished 27th.
