The Nationwide Series drivers are back again with the COT car for some Friday night short track racing at Richmond. Kevin Harvick picked up the poll for the event.

Kevin stated that he was guessing on his car. "Kinda unique in itself," said Kyle Busch on running the Sponsafier theme this weekend. It is the one you have seen countless times on TV during NASCAR races with the baby seal on the back and Kyle in a pink firesuit.

Kevin Harvick started the race out leading laps and it was not long before the first caution came out on lap 10 as Jeremy Clements and Brendan Gaughan are involved in turn two. The green flag drops again and Kevin Harvick is back leading more laps. His lead went again on lap 36 as Brian Scott wound up in trouble. This caution brought in some cars down pit road for service. The leaders stayed out.

Then we had the longest green flag run of the night. Kevin Harvick wound up leading lots more green laps. As the laps kept on going by in a hurry Clint Boyer started to get hot and close the gap before the green flag pit stops started around lap 109. This wound up putting Elliott Sadler in the lead of the race for a while until he finally stopped for service on lap 131. Kevin finally got back the lead on lap 135. A few more laps go by and the caution finally comes out on lap 142 for Mike Bliss and his engine problems.

After the race restarted it was three wide racing for a second that caused a major tire rub on the Clint Boyer car. Then in a few laps he wound up brining out the caution as the tire blew on his car and that he could not get down to pit road.
Another short green flag run occurs and Tayler Malsam with 86 laps left spins out. This time after the green flag dropped and Brad Keselowski started to lead some laps. Then Kevin Harvick started to get hot again and he took the lead back with 53 laps left. A few laps later and Brain Scott brings out the caution again as he smacks into the wall after getting hit by Clint Boyer.

The caution brought in the leaders and Kevin Harvick won the race off pit road. Brendan Gaughan gets second place as he takes only two tires. The green flag drops with 40 laps left and Ryan Newman who stayed out easily gets passed by Kevin Harvick for the race lead.

In the final laps of the race Brad Keselowski was chasing down Kevin Harvick as he got into lapped traffic. Brad had only o0ne attempt to get the lead on the last lap. He went to the high side to try to get around Kevin. In the final turn he got loose and had to slow up to correct his car giving Kevin the victory.

Kevin Harvick stated that it was good racing in the end.

"It was a great finish," said Brad Keselowski. He also stated that he was good for 20 laps.

Trevor Bayne stated that he was too tight in the center.

"Car was good," said Clint Boyer. He also stated that he wanted to apologize to the driver he spun out.

"These guys did a great job," said Reed Sorenson.
