Brad Gets The Final One At Gateway

Brad Keselowski Gateway 2010.jpgFor the last time ever the Nationwide series drivers are back at the Gateway track. Last time at the place we had the infamous last lap accident with Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski. Both of these drivers along with Paul Menard are stating in the back due to not qualifying their cars. Justin Allgaier has the poll this event from morning qualifying.

Brad Keselowski stated that the track setup is different this time. Carl Edwards stated he is a "little sad" to be the final
race at this track. "Really good off the truck," said Steven Wallace on this car.

The race started off with Justin leading as Carl, Brad, and Paul marched their way up the front in a hurray. By lap 40 Carl, Brad and Paul we all in the top 15. The first caution came out on lap 47 for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. who slowed up big time. This brought in the leaders and Mike Bliss was able to win the race off the pit road.

After the green flag dropped it was only a couple laps and Justin was back in the lead again. This time Brad and Carl did not move up much at all as Justin was leading laps. The next caution comes out on lap 75 as Antonio Perez hit s the wall. This caution brought in the leaders and Brad Keselowski won the race off pit road. Justin fell back due to a slow stop.

This time all we get is a short green flag run and on lap 96 Josh Wise spins out. Also getting some damage was Paul Menard. The green flag drops again and with another short green flag run we get a major pile up at lap 103 that bring out the red flag. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Scott Wimmer get together and then take out Brad Sweet, Shelby Howard, Sean Caisse, Tony Raines, and others. Danica Patrick was able to drive through the wreck, but got some damage trying to squeeze through the wrecking cars.

"Struggled with the car all day," said Scott Wimmer. "Nowhere to go," said Brad Sweet. "Looked like the 10(Scott Wimmer) had to check up, said Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on the wreck. "Just no respect out their," said Sean Caisse. "Got caught in the big one at St. Louis."

After a lengthy cleanup the cars started again and Mike Bliss was able to pass Brad for the lead of the race. His lead did not last long and Brad took it back on lap 114. Danika though was stuck in 23rd spot a bunch of laps down and loosing more of them as time went on. Around 45 laps left a bunch of cars made green flag pit stops. This left Reed Sorenson in the lead for a while.

Reed though came down with 40 laps left putting Josh Wise in the lead of the race. He pits in a couple laps putting Jeremy Clements in the lead. He pits with 30 laps left and that puts Brad Keselowski back in the lead.

Justin Allgaier though gets hot and passes Brad for the lead with 26 laps left. The caution though comes out with 10 laps left as Danica Patrick spins out. Leaders do pit though. Mike Bliss leads the race off pit road with a 2 tire stop. Reed Sorenson though stays out to lead the race.

The green flag drops with 4 laps left and Mike Bliss starts to get hot to lead the race with 2 laps left. Brad though with his four tires was able to get along side of Mike on the final lap and then was able to pass him on the final lap for the win.

"We had the best short run car," said Brad Keselowski.

Justin Allgaier stated that their was a bad pit call at the end of the race.

Mike stated that he had problems with getting into third gear in turn one.
