The major news today at Richard Petty Motorsports is that Kasey Kahne is now gone from Richard Petty Motorsports and will and drive for Red Bull Racing in the #83 car for all final races in the 2010 Sprint Cup season.
Aric Almirola will get his first shot to drive the #9 car this weekend at Martinsville.
What could be the possibly bigger news is that Richard Petty Motorsports may not even make it to Talladega. The reports out are saying that Richard Petty Motorsports owes a lot of money to Roush Fenway Racing.
If Richard Petty Motorsports does shut down where does this leave the drivers of Marcos Ambrose and Bobby Labonte??? Marcos was supposed to drive the #9 car next year at Richard Petty Motorsports while Bobby Labonte was to drive the #47 that Marcos currently drives for JTG Daugherty racing.
I hope Marcos does have a full time ride for the 2011 season and with JTG Daughtery if RPM does shut down. I wonder if this means that Bobby would do some driving for Labonte Stavola racing in 2011 if RPM shuts down.
