Carl Edwards Phoenix 2010.jpgWith Nationwide Series championship already decided the drivers are back for one of the final two races of the season. Joey Logano picked up the pool for the even at Phoenix International Raceway.

"Good since we unloaded," said Kyle Busch. "Qualifying went really well," said Carl Edwards. "Feel like we have a really good car," said Joey Logano.

The race started off with Joey Logano leading laps while Carl Edwards was getting hot and moving his way up to the front. The first caution though comes out on alp 23 for Mark Green who is smoking. The leaders pit and Aric Almirola takes two tires to win the race off pit road. Tony Raines was the only car to not pit.

After the green flag dropped Aric quickly got the lead of the race. Carl Edwards and his four fresh tires got the lead of the race at lap 38 and started to break out into a big lead quickly. The caution though came out on lap 62 for Brendan Gaughan and his blown tire. The leaders pit and Kyle Busch wins the race off pit road.

The green flag drops and Carl Edwards this time gets to lead a whole bunch more laps. Kyle Busch though gets hot and starts to track Carl down, but does not have the time to pass him for the lead of the race. At lap 117 the caution comes out for Martin Truex Jr. who crashes hard into the wall. This brought in the leaders and Carl Edwards was able to win the race off pit road. At the drop of the green flag Carl Edwards easily took the lead of the race.

He kept on leading laps and the caution pops on lap 138 for debris. This time the leaders stay out. After the green flag dropped Carl took the lead again. With 43 laps left Danika makes it down pit road after hitting the wall. Six laps later and Kyle Busch makes a pit stop to replace a bad tire.

As the laps went the caution was hard to find. Kyle Busch though was picking up spots as fast as Carl Edwards was putting cars a lap down. Kyle was sop fast he got him self back on the lead lap with around 10 laps left in the race. A couple of close calls in the final laps occurred, but Carl Edwards went on to finish the race by 5 seconds.

"Best driving race car I ever had," said Carl Edwards.

Kevin Harvick stated that he had a really good car today.

"Tires were way to loose to get going," said Aric Almirola.
