Budwesier Shootout Thoughts And NASCAR.com Website Rant

Boy was that an interesting Budwesier Shootout.  I fully enjoyed the new track surface.  I love the new nose for each car.

The whole race was nothing but two car teams pushing each other to the front which was certainly brand new. It made for something different to watch, but I wanted to see a bit more normalcy in my restrictor plate races. One screwup though and you wind up like Kyle Busch or Michael Waltrip.

We need to see more 20 car packs though and that is going to be needing some more changes to the car.

the race had loads of lead changes and you can't go wrong with that.

The drivers did not seem to care they were going 206 MPH, but that can easily be a red flag to NASCAR that wants to keep speeds down.

The changes made to the NASCAR.com website sucks.  I am only talking about the move to a white front page and the lame idea of the using the flag in the background during a race.  The rest of website shows off last years background colors that I a whole lot better.  The website to me needs darker background colors.  They even did a sort of mediocre job of using the white background with the top navigational menu as well.

Why even go with that background idea in the first place, I am not really going to view the home page for a full race.  On a race day I want to look at the full leaderboard and a full lap-by-lap rundown.

They need to go back to the old design pronto for the background, I say it will wind up loosing them viewers if they keep it.
