Carl Edwards Takes Atlanta

The Nationwide Series is back to Atlanta for a Saturday Night event. Carl Edwards picked up the poll for the event with Brad Keselowski who is back for the first time in a few weeks after am ankle injury is starting second.
The race started off with a good green flag run where Carl Edwards started out leading laps. Brad Keselowski was stuck in second, but started to fade slowly back as Kyle Busch got hot and took over second place. A couple of time Kyle Busch got real close to Carl Edwards, but could not get the lead of the race. Jamie McMurray though pitted early on lap 34 for a flat tire. The first caution comes out on lap 42 for Eric McClure hitting the wall in turn 2.
The leaders pit and Carl Edwards leaves hit pit stall with the air hose putting him back around sixteenth. The green flag drops and Kevin Harvick rakes over the race lead while Kyle Busch gets hot and takes over the race lead on lap 56. By lap 58 though Carl Edwards was all the way back up to ninth. At lap 68 though it was caution time number 2 for Joe Nemechek and his car that spun out.
The caution brought in the leaders with Kyle Busch winning the race off pit road. It was only a short green flag run this time and Michael Annett spins out. Next up was a really long green flag run where Trevor Bayne and Kyle Busch start out battling for the race lead as Carl Edwards get really hot. Carl was able to get the lead of race back again on lap 94 with some help from lapped traffic.
The green flag racing continues and with 74 laps left Elliott Sadler pits and starts a round of green flag pit stops. Carl Edwards though stays out until 65 laps left and is one of the last cars needing to make a pit stop. That caused him to lose the lead to Kyle Busch. It was not long though and the fourth caution came out for Eric McClure that hit the wall again with. This brought in the leaders who mainly took on fuel only.
The race restarted and Justin Allgaier got the best of the restart and the race lead. He did not have it long and in a couple laps Kasey Kahne took over the race lead as Carl Edwards got again. Carl Edwards got back into second place again with 49 laps left.
The fifth caution finally came out with 32 laps left for Michael Annett that spins out. The caution brought in the leaders and the cars up front all took on four fresh tires. Carl Edwards was able to win the race off pit road.
It would being only a short green flag run this time and the caution comes put for Reed Sorenson and Trevor Bayne that get together. Trevor stated that he was in a place that he should have not been in. "It's destroyed," said Reed on his car. "Dollar General car was good."
The green flag drops again with 19 laps left and Carl Edwards took the race lead after a fight for it from Kevin Harvick. Kyle Busch gets hot and starts to chase down Carl with less than 10 laps left. Kyle did not have enough time as Carl wins the race.
"This track is as good as it gets," said Carl Edwards.
Kyle Busch stated that it is all how you got to the bottom of the race track.
Justin Allgaier stated that he took some points he did not deserve.
