"We are going to leave here with our heads held high," said Elliott Sadler on the race. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. stated that his car was a little tight in practice.

Kyle Bush started off the race leading laps. Elliott Sadler got hot and then was able to briefly have the lead on lap 8, but lost it again to Kyle Busch. Kyle Busch then started to break out into a big lead. At lap 48 it was the start of green flag pit stops. Kyle Busch came down on the next lap and this put Joey Logano into the race lead for a couple of laps before he pitted. Then Kyle Busch took the race lead back.

The green flag racing finally came to an end as Ryan Truex Spins out and smacked the wall on lap 66. This killed a 9 second lead that Kyle Busch had. The caution brought in the cars on the lead lap and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was able to win the race off pit road. Some like Ricky took only fuel on that stop.

As the race restarted Kyle Busch easily got the lead of the race. It was only a short green flag run and Robert Richardson Jr. on lap 73 spins out for the next caution. This wound up be a bit of a lengthy caution as Robert left a whole lot of foam on the race track.

The race restarted and Kyle Busch was easily leading more laps. Regan Smith though started to get hot and was able to get the lead on lap 92. The green flag racing did not last too much longer and the next caution came out on lap 94 for Robert Richardson Jr. who spins out again. This caution brought down some cars down pit road with Danica Patrick staying out to lead the race. Elliott Sadler made a pit stop, but had to come down pit road a second time due to missing lug nuts.

After the green flag dropped Sam Hornish Jr. easily won the race lead as Danica dropped a whole lot of spots very quickly. Austin Dillon though got hot and was able to get the race lead at 105. Elliott Sadler though quickly marched his way up the field and with 70 laps left he was back up to fourth.

With 58 laps left Elliott Sadler moved into third place passing Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for that spot. Five more laps go by and a load of green flag pit stops started. After they ended Austin Dillon was in the race lead. The green flag finally came to an end with 28 laps left for debris.

The leaders all pitted with drivers all taking four tires. Kevin Swindell though stayed out to lead the race. As the green flag dropped Elliott Sadler and Regan Smith made it four wide made it four wide for a second. Regan Smith with his move won the race lead. It was a short green flag run and Johnanna Long crashes with 20 laps left.

After the race restarted Regan Smith kept the race lead. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had a couple of close calls as the final laps went by, but the caution did not come out and Regan Smith won the race while Ricky Stenhouse Jr. repeats as the Nationwide Series Champ.

"Really neat," said Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on winning the championship. "I'm just honored to be in this position."

"We did the best we could," said Elliott Sadler.

"Can't wait for next year," said Regan Smith. This was the first Nationwide Series race in five years for Regan.

"The car was great," said Austin Dillon.
