| No Comments | No TrackBacks

42--Juan Pablo Montoya--Earnhardt Gnassi Racing
Juan only had 2 top tens all of 2012 to finish 22nd place in the points. He will rebound a bit in 2013 and have a shot a couple of wins. Target will be back to sponsor this car. I say he gets 7-10 top tens to finish 15-18th place in the points in 2013.

43--Aric Almirola--Richard Petty Motorsports
Aric only had four top tens to finish 20rh place in the points. Smithfield foods along with a few other companies will sponsor this car. I say he get 2-4 top tens in 2013 to finish 22-25th place in the standings.

47--Bobby Labonte--JTG Daughtery
He had only two top tens last season to finish 23rd place in the points. Busch's Baked Beans, Clorox, Herr's, and a whole lot more companies will sponsor this car in 2013. I see only a couple top tens for thi car this season and he will finish 23-25th place in the points.

48--Jimmie Johnson--Hendrick Motorsports
This car will be back again with sponsorship from Lowe's. Jimmie finished the season off with 5 wins and 24 top tens to finish third place in the points. Jimmie will get 3-5 wins this season along with 20-23 top tens to finish 4-6th place in the points at the end of the season.

51--A.J. Allmendinger, Regan Smith, Austin Dillion, Phoenix Racing
The car had various drivers in it last year with Kurt Busch being able to pick off only two top tens in it. Tag Heuer and Guys Roofing will sponsor the car, but no word yet on the rest of the sponsors. The car is expected to go a full season. I think it get a couple of top ten finishes at best.

55--Michael Walttrip, Mark Martin, Brian Vickers--Michael Waltrip Racing
This car again is going with the same multi-driver lineup from last year. Each driver got a top ten in the car with Michael only getting one while Brian picked off five of them and Mark Martin getting ten of them. Arron's will sponsor this car. Mark gets the car for 26 events, Michael gets the car for three events, and Brian gets the car for nine events. I say Brian gets a win and five top tens, Mark Martin gets another 10 top tens with a shot at a win. Michale Waltrip will have a shot at a top ten finish.

In A few more days I will have up my final full time drivers list for the Sprint Cup drivers. Then I will have up the part time drivers.

30--Michael Waltrip & David Stemme--Swan Racing
Michael Waltrip will get this car at Daytona in February and I say he races into the event, but not score a top ten finish. David Stremme gets the car for the rest of the season. He had 28 starts last year with no top tens. I say at best he gets one top ten and finish no better 30th place in the points. Swan Energy is the sponsor for this car.

31--Jeff Burton--Richard Childress Racing
He comes back again for another full season of racing after another rough year of racing in this car last season. He had only 2 top tens all season long to finish 19th place in the points. Caterpillar and Cheerios will sponsor this car. I see another poor year for him with no more than 5 tens and no wins to finish 17-19th place in the points.

34--David Ragan--Front Row Motorports
This car is expected to go a full season. Peanut Patch will sponsor this car for only four races though. He did a full season of racing last year, but only had two top ten finishes to finish 28th place in the points. If he survives a full season he will get only a of top ten finishes at best to finish 28-30th place in the points.

38--David Gilliand--Front Row Motorsports
The car is expected to go the full season, but sponsorship is not 100% known. David finished 30th place in the points with no top tens. I say he finishes no better than 30th place in the points with no top tens.

39--Ryan Newam--Stewart Haas Racing
Ryan picked off 14 top tens along with one win in 2012 to finish 14th place in the points. He will have Quicken Loans, WIX Filters, Outback Steakhouse, and other companies sponsor this car in 2013. I say he gets one win in 2013 with 13-15 top tens to finish 14-16th place in the points.

20--Matt Kenseth--Joe Gibbs
This will be a new ride for Matt Kenseth. Last year though he had three wins in 2012 with 19 top tens to finish seventh place in the standings. Home Depot and Dollar Geneal will sponsor this car for the full season. I say he gets only one win in 2013 with 18-20 top tens to finish 13-15th place in the standings.

22--Joey Logano--Penske Racing
This is a new ride for Joey Logano. He had only one win last year along with 12 top tens to finish 17th place in the standings. Shell/Pennzoil will sponsor the car along with some other companies. I say he gets no more than one win in 2013 with 13-15 top tens to finish 15-17th place in the standings at the end of the season.

24--Jeff Gordon--Rick Hendrick
Jeff Gordon picked off two wins in 2012 18 top tens to finish tenth place in the standings. Drive To End Hungar and DuPont will sponsor this car. I think gets 1-2 wins max in 2013 with 18-20 top tens to finish 8-10th place in the standings.

26--Josh Wise--Front Row Motorsports
MDS Transport is going to sponsor this car that is expected to run a full season. He only had 30 starts in 2012 with no top tens to finish 39th place in the points. If he goes the full season he will not get any top tens and get no better than 30th place in the points.

27--Paul Menard--Richard Childress Racing
Paul had nine top tens last season with no wins to finish 16th place in the standings. Menard's will be back to sponsor this car. I say he has a shot at a win in 2013. He will get around ten top ten finishes to get 17-19th place in the standings.

29--Kevin Harvick--Richard Childress Racing
Kevin is back for his final season at Richard Childress Racing with sponsorship from Budweiser, Jimmy Johns, and other companies. He had only one win last season, but I say he gets two in 2013. He finished 8th place in the points in 2012 and I do not see much improvement from that position. Hr will finish 7-9th place in the points.

In a few more days I have up another set.

10---Danica Patrick--Stewart Haas Racing
In a limited Sprint Cup schedule in 2012 she picked off only one top 20 finish. GoDaddy will be back to sponsor this car. I say she pulls in only a couple of top tens in 2013 and finishes 22-25th place in the standings.

11--Denny Hamlin--Joe Gibbs Racing
Fred Ex will be back to sponsor this car that won five times in 2012 with 17 top tens in order to finish sixth place in the standings. I say Denny gets 3-5 wins with 17-20 top tens to finish 4-6th place in the standings.

13--Casey Mears--Germain Racing
Casey will back with this team with returning sponsor GEICO. He was able to go a full season and finish 29th place in the standings with only six top 20 finishes. I think he gets one or two top tens in 2013 with a shot at a win to finish 25-28th place in the standings.

14--Tony Stewart--Stewart Haas Racing

Stewart will be back in this car with Mobil 1 and Bass Pro Shops as sponsors. Tony Finished the season ninth place in the points with three wins and 16 top tens. I say Tony will get 2-3 wins this season with 17 top tens and finish the season 6-8th place in the points.

15--Clint Bowyer--Michael Waltrip Racing
Finished second place in the points with three wins and 23 top tens. 5-Hour Energy and Peak Oil will sponsor this car. I say he gets 3-5 wins in a full season of racing with 22-25 top tens and finishes to finish first to third place in the standings at the end of the season.

16--Greg Biffle--Roush Fenway
Greg Biffle finished fifth place in the points with two wins in 2012 to go along with his 21 top tens. 3M will be back to sponsor most of the season for Greg. I think he gets 4-5 wins in 2013 with 22-25 top tens to finish first to third place in the standings.

17--Ricky Stenhouse Jr.--Roush Fenway
Ricky comes from the Nationwide Series where he won the championship with 26 top tens and six wins. He only had limited time in the Sprint Cup series last season with only four races and no top tens. Best Buy, Zest and other companies will sponsor this car. I say this car this get 10-15 top tens with a shot a victory to get 18-20th place in the points.

18--Kyle Busch--Joe Gibbs Racing
Kyle Busch had an off year in 2012 picking up only one win with 20 top tens in 2012. M&M's will be back to sponsor this car for most of the season. I say he rebounds big time to get 3-5 wins and 22-25 top tens to finish 3-5th place in the standings.

2013 Sprint Cup Series Driver Preview Part One..

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Note: Driver and Sponsorship can change at anytime...

1---Jamie McMurray---Earnhardt Gnassi Racing
Had a disappointing 2012 season with only three top tens and no wins. He finished 21st place in the standings. McDonalds will sponsor this car. I do not think he picks up a win in 2013, but gets six top tens to finish 17-20th place in the points at the end of the season as a change to Hendrick engines helps.

2--Brad Keslelowski--Penske Racing
Won the 2012 championship with five wins and 23 top tens. Miller Lite will be back to sponsor this car as this car moves over to the ford brand. I say the change backfires on them a bit. I will give Brad a couple wins max, but makes the chase. He will finish 9-12the place in the points.

5--Kasey Kahne--Hendrick Motrsports
He picked off two wins and 19 top tens to finish fourth place in the standings. Farmers Insurance is coming back to sponsor the car for 22 races with a couple other companies as well. I say he gets 2 wins in 2013 with 18-20 top tens to finish 4-6th place in the standings.

7--Dave Blaney--Tommy Baldwin Racing
This car was the #36 car last season that Dave had for almost all of the season. He drove 32 races with Tommy Baldwin Racing picking up only one top 20 finish. Sponsorship is not 100% know at the time. He finished the season 33rd place in the points. I see this car picking up a couple top 20 finishes at best and finishes 30-33rd place in the standings.

9--Marcos Ambrose--Richard Petty Motorsports
Black and Decker will back to sponsor this car that had one win and 8 top tens to finish 18th place in the points. I see him in 2013 getting no more than 2 wins, but picking up 10-12 top ten finishes to get 14-16th place in the points at the end of the season.

I will have a couple more parts up later this week.

This is going to be his new full time ride in 2013. Sponsorship is not 100% known at this point of time. He only did 2 races last year, but won one of his races at a road course. I say he can pick off a win or two in 2013 while finishing 11-13th place in the points.

52--Joey Gase--Jimmy Means Racing
Joey had 18 starts last season with no top tens. He is expected to go a full season, but no full sponsorship announcement has been made. I only see a few top 20 places in 20-13 for this car and finish 15-17th place in the standings.

60--Travis Pastrana--Roush Fenway
Travis is going to be full time in this car in 2013 after having a limited racing schedule in 2012. He only had nine starts in 2012 with no top tens. Boost Mobile could wind up as a sponsor for this car. I say this car get a 3-5 top tens and finish 10th place in the standings.

70--Johanna Long--ML Motorsports
She finished 20th place in the points with no top tens and was only in 21 races in 2012. Foretravel Motorcoach will be back to sponsor this car for around the same amount of races last season. I see her getting at least one top ten in 2013, but finish 18-20th place in the points while competing in around 23 races.

77--Parker Kligerman--Kyle Busch Motorsports
He only had three Nationwide Series races last season, but had 2 top tens. He is expected to go a full season in this car. Sponsorship is not 100% finalized for this car. I say he pulls in 3-5 top ten finishes with a shot at a win to get 8-9th place in the standings at the end of the season.

89--Morgan Shepherd--Shepherd Racing Ventures
Morgan is expected to go a full season, but I do not see it. He had 21 races last season, but did not finish 19 of them. I say at best he does 23 races, but only finishes 3 races. With a shot at one top 20 finish.

22--Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, and more--Penske Racing

This car had various drivers in 2012 to complete a full season of racing. Brad had 21 races in the car last season with 3 wins. I can see brad in the car for 15-20 races and getting 2-4 wins. Ryan was in the car last year for seven races. I see Ryan getting more seat time in the car for the 2013 and will pick up 3-5 top tens with no wins.

31--Justin Allgaier--Turner Motorsports
