Kasey Kahne Wins At Bristol

Kyle Busch set a new track record in qualifying at this track in order to get the poll for the first Sprint Cup event at Bristol this season.

Jimmie Johnson stated that some "very very good racing" will happen today.

"Hopefully we made the right changes for the weather today, " said Matt Kenseth.

At lap 8 Tony Stewart started to slow up big time and then he could not get down to pit road. Tony then brought out the caution as he blew out a tire. At lap 54 it was the second caution of the day as Jeff Burton wrecks.

The caution brought in the leaders with Kyle Busch taking four tire, but Denny Hamlin took only two to take the race lead. Kyle Busch also wound up getting a speeding penalty on pit road. After the green flag dropped we go t a short green flag run and at lap 71 it was caution time again for the spinning car of Jamie McMurray.

We got a good gren flag run this time with Denny Hamlin leading a whole bunch of laps. Then Kasey Kahne started to get hot and chased down Denny Hamlin. At lap 147 Kasey Kahne got the lead lap. A few more laps go by and David Gilliland wrecks to bring out the caution. The caution brought in the leaders and Denny Hamlin was able to keep his race lead, but Kyle Busch took only two tires to get himslef back up to second place.

At the drop of the green flag Denny Hamlin quickly got away as Bobby Labonte and his car was slow and then onto pit road for repairs. Then Kasey got hot and took over the race lead at lap 191. At lap 223 it was unscheduled pit stop time for Kurt Busch to replace a bad tire. Then at lap 235 the caution finally came out for Landon Cassill who hit the wall.

The caution brought in the leaders and Matt Kenseth took two tires to take the race lead.

After the green flag dropped Aric Almirola had a bad tire, but was able to make to pit road while Matt Kenseth was leading more laps. At lap 250 the next caution came out for Aric Almirola that spun out and crashed his car. This led to a good green flag run with Matt Kenseh leading all the laps. At lap 322 Dave Blaney hit the wall hard for the next caution.

The caution brought in the leaders and Jeff Gordon won the race off pit road as he took only two tires. As the race restarted Jeff started out leading laps and then Joey Logano made an attempt for the lead, but it did not work. In a second attempt at it Denny Hamlin in third wound up hitting Joey Logano a couple of times and at lap 347 Joey wrecks to bring out the caution. The caution brought ina few cars down pit road.

As the race restarted Denny Hamlin got really loose in turn one and lost a couple spots in a hurry. Jeff Gordon kept on leading laps with Matt Kenseth in second until Jeff Gordon blew a tire on lap 390. Then Jeff went up the track and totally took out Matt Kenseth that had nowhere to go.

The caution brought in a bunch of cars on the lead lap with a few cars including Brad Keselwoski staying out to lead the race. Jeff Gordon stated that the car was really good out front on the restarts. "Had a great car," said Matt Kenseth.

Brad Keselowski got a solid restart and the lead of the race. Kasey Kahne though started to get hot and was right behind Brad with 74 laps left. With 62 laps left a few more cars joined the fight for the race lead.

Then the leaders caught traffic Kasey Kahne was able to get the lead, but he could not keep it and Brad Keselowski was back in the race lead. The tenth caution came out for Jimmie Johnson as he blew a tire with 46 laps left.

As the race restarted Brad Keselowksi got a poor restart causing Kasey Kahne to get the race lead with Kyle Busch getting second.
With 8 laps left Denny Hamlin hit the wall a couple times and then over the rest of the race continued to hit it. Kasey Kahne continued to lead the laps on his way to victory of the race.

After the race Joey Logano wanted to have a few choice words with Denny Hamlin at his car.

Kasey Kahne stated the whole team was flawless today.

"M&M's Camery was fast," said Kyle Busch.

Joey Logano stated that he was running a whole lot better than he wound up finishing.

"Didn't mean to spin him(Joey Logano) out," Denny Hamlin.
