One week after wild action at Daytona the Nationwide Series is back again to race at Phoenix International raceway. Kyle Busch took Kyle Busch 2013 Phoenix.jpgthe poll for this race with teammate Brain Vickers on the front row.

Sam Hornish Jr. stated that he was looking forward to the race today.

"Practiced good yesterday," said Kyle Larson.

The race went only a few laps under green and the first caution came out as Johanna long wrecks. Sam Hornish Jr., Alex Bowman, and Travis Pastrana got damage in the wreck. "It just took off on me," said Johanna Long.

Kyle Busch kept on leading laps after the green flag lap and then the second caution came out on lap 38 as Dexter Stacy spins put. This caution brought in the leaders and Kyle Busch wound up with a speeding penalty for exiting pit road to fast. This dropped him around 20 spots in the standings.

The green flag dropped again with Matt Kenseth leading laps this time as Brian Vickers started to get hot. Brian was able to take over the lead on lap 50 and then Joe Nemechek spins out for the next caution. By this time Kyle was up to around 15th in the standings.

After the green flag dropped again Matt Kensth got to lead more and more laps as Kyle Busch got super hot. Kyle kept on passing cars and then on lap 89 was able to get the lead of the race back again. He started to pull away from the field and then at lap 101 it was caution time again as Kevin Harvick hit the wall hard after a tire on his car blew. This caution brought in the leaders and Kyle Busch kept the race lead.

"I'm fine," said Kevin Harvick. "Tire just blew."

The race restarts and it was not a long green flag run and Sam Hornish Jr. spins out for the next caution. This finally led to a good green flag run. At lap 133 Parker Kligerman makes contact with Aric Almirola and wound up with enough damage to send him down pit road for service.

With 49 laps left Kyle Larson gets loose, slightly hits the wall and brings out the caution. The caution brought in Kyle Busch and a bunch of other cars on the lead lap. Brad Keselowski stays out though to lead the race.

The race restarts again and Kyle Busch took it three wide to get third place. With forty laps left Kyle Busch was back up to second. In a couple laps it became a side by side battle for the lead that Kyle Busch wound up winning.

With 28 laps left Brian Vickers makes an attempt to go three wide and it does not work and Brian brings out the next caution. This caution only brought some cars down pit road. As the race restarted Kyle Busch got to lead more laps. With 14 laps left Eric McClure started smoking big time, but made it to pit road. The laps quickly went down and Kyle took the race win.

"Feels awesome," said Kyle Busch. He stated that he wish he did it with Kyle Busch Motorsports.
