Courtside at Lakers-Celtics? Be Ready to Fork Over $52,943.

We are getting closer and closer to an epic NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.

Game 1 is on Thursday. And there is plenty of excitement here in Los Angeles and in Boston. As well as everywhere in between.

This year's Finals will already be epic.

And the ticket brokers are catching on.

I would give a lot to get a chance to go to one of these games in Los Angeles. But there are some personal limits of mine.

For instance, I'm pretty confident I will not be forking over the cash for a courtside ticket to Thursday's Game 1.

Wonder why?

Well, StubHub is selling an individual courtside ticket at a whopping$52,943. Per ticket. Again, if you didn't get that the first time. For ONE seat to sit on the court for Thursday's Lakers-Celtics game, you will need to pay $52,943.

I'm sorry for the repeated sentences. I think I'm still in shock with this obnoxious price.

It sure must be nice to be one of these Hollywood types that roam L.A. and catch Lakers games on the casual. And then just fork over a simple 52 grand to do so.

Must be nice, indeed.

I think it's safe to say I will be enjoying Thursday night watching the game in the comfort of my own home on HDTV. Even if I'm just a few miles from STAPLES Center.

And you know what? I am perfectly happy with that.

UPDATE: Apparently those tickets are sold out now. Hot item, I guess. But you can still pay $40,542 to get a courstide seat at Thursday's game. Not too shabby.
