A.J. Murray continues his strong spring...
The Frisco Roughriders, masquerading as the RedHawks, lost our first game of the spring 6-5. According to the RedHawks website, Eric Hurley and Armando Galarraga both had strong pitching performances. Offensively, probable RedHawk 3B Jared Sandberg and Frisco outfielder, and Hank's little brother, each went 2-3 with a double.
AJ Murray had another strong outing as he picked up the save in today's game after giving up only 1 hit and a walk in 1 inning of work. AJ's ERA for the spring still sits at 0.00. Another strong outing by Bruce Chen as well who gave up only 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 6 over 3.2 innings.
Ex-RedHawk Mike Young is sidelined indefinitely after being hit in the helmet with a pitch yesterday. Mike had to have minor surgery to fix a rip in his ear cartilage. This occurred the day after Nelson Cruz was hit in the head with a pitch. Nelson was sidelined today after suffering a dizzy spell.
