Last Season: Significant injuries derailed the Bucks last season. Andrew Bogut was lost in mid-January due to back problems and Michael Redd also went down in January with a torn ACL and MCL. From February until the end of the season the Bucks went just 10-21 and finished the season at 34-48.

Most Interesting Man in the World: Brandon Jennings – He made the bold move to skip college and head to Italy. Many questioned whether it was a smart decision but when he was drafted with the 10th overall pick in last year’s Draft it seemed to signify he made the right call. Jennings didn’t attend the draft but after he was drafted he made his way to MSG and came out on stage after the 14th pick was announced to get his picture taken with David Stern. Jennings seems like a charismatic kid that doesn’t shy away from the spotlight. His flash on the court will be fun to watch – whether it’s beneficial to the team is another issue.

Over the Hill: Kurt Thomas – Alright, this one is pretty obvious. Of course he’s over the hill. Thomas is 37 and is there any reason he’s coming back other than the nearly $4 million he will earn this year? Clearly the Bucks aren’t going to be contenders. There’s a good chance he will again be traded to a contender to provide some minutes off the bench.

Ready to Break Out: Andrew Bogut – This is another case of necessity. If Bogut doesn’t break out, where is the scoring going to come from? The Bucks have limited him early in the preaseason but so far, so good. He has shot 14-24 through the first four preseason games. If Bogut doesn’t break out, the Bucks are going to struggle mightily as none of their other post players have the ability to put up big numbers.

Outlook: The Bucks lost two starters in Richard Jefferson and Charlie Villanueva from last year and will need to replace their combined 36 ppg. Their two best players, Bogut and Redd, are both coming back from serious injuries and the pressure is squarely on the two of them to lead this team. The most exciting thing about the Bucks this year will be watching the maturation of Brandon Jennings.
