Michael Phelps just completed the greatest performance in a single Olympics and now he ranks with the all time greats.  Yesterday's graph looked at how Phelps stacks up in total gold medals. This graph shows how Phelps measures up in terms of most total career Olympic medals.  Who are the other Olympians on this list?

The top all time medal recipient is a Soviet gymnast. Larissa Latynina won medals in female gymnastics from 1956-64.

Phelps ranks second behind Latynina, but likely has more Olympics in his future.
