At the time of Pee Wee Football, participation trophies signify the end of a young player's season. But as they mature and progress, so too do the trophies. No longer is it just a simple, standard gold figurine with an arm cocked back, ready to throw the ball, or with the pigskin fundamentally tucked under his right arm.

By the time they reach college football, trophies become a symbol representative of rivalries generations old, and long gone are the simple figurines. The conventional awards have instead been replaced with kegs, bells, wheels, axes and in one case, even a turtle. Not only does college football have historic rivalries, but with them too come historic (and unique) trophies.
