#5 UCLA Bruins
The Bruins went to three consecutive Final Fours from 2006-2008, and those teams have produced many NBA-ready players. The relative youth pushes UCLA down in the rankings, but if the players from those Final Four teams can reach similar stardom on the NBA level, UCLA would quickly move up the rankings.
Rookie Kevin Love is a prime example of someone who is hurt by our ranking system. Love seldom started through the first half of the season, but then started 32 of the final 36 games for the Timberwolves. He is a major piece of the Timberwolves rebuilding plan and will certainly be a full-time starter next season.
