While 2011 has been an angst-filled year full of scandals off the field, it was a terrific year on the field. There were many compelling games and races, with nearly every sport's pinnacle game or series decided in dramatic fashion. With everything on the line, 2011 offered no blowouts.

The Super Bowl was a tight affair that wasn't settled until the final minute. College football's national championship game came down to the last play. Dramatic comebacks highlighted both the World Series and NBA Finals. The Stanley Cup finals came down to a Game 7. And NASCAR's Chase came down to the last lap of the last race, with the two drivers chasing for the trophy finishing 1-2.

There were so many candidates for game of the year that even narrowing them down to a short list proved difficult. But we managed to do just that, so here are our Top 10 Games of 2011, with video highlights for each:
