1. Clay Bennett
In 2006, Clay Bennett bought the Seattle SuperSonics from Howard Schultz.
Along with the purchase came the stipulation that Bennett would make a good-faith effort to keep the team in Seattle. But e-mails surfaced that seemed to contradict this clause. In fact, it seemed he had his hometown of Oklahoma City in mind all along.
The Sonics had been a fixture in Seattle for over 40 years before Bennett ripped the team away. Oklahoma Today magazine might have named Clay Bennett their Man of the Year, but that doesn’t save him from being number one on our Naughty list in 2008.
