Baseball and basketball have their rivalries (we’ll just assume hockey does as well). They are all heated, and fierce, and span over decades. And with all due respect, they have nothing on rivalries found in college football.

College football rivalries span generations, passing down hatred and animosity like family heirlooms. Yale and Harvard (simply known as “The Game”) have been playing each other since 1875 – just 10 years after the Civil War ended.

This past weekend, Southern Califronia and Notre Dame played the latest installment of their series that dates back to 1926 (the same year Joe Paterno was born), with the Trojans winning, 34-27. And unfortunately for the Golden Domers, that just continued the trend in this great rivalry – USC has now won eight straight against Notre Dame.

While the Trojans’ dominance is one of the best examples, it’s only one of many rivalries that have gone in favor of one team recently. Cal-Stanford, Auburn-Alabama, and even Michigan-Ohio State are finding themselves on our Top 10 Most One-Sided Rivalries in College Football.
