4. Miracle at the Meadowlands II
For three quarters it wasn’t that exciting of a game. The Giants were beating the Eagles in all facets, but then the fourth quarter happened.
As the final 15 minutes began, the Giants were looking at a home playoff game and the Eagles were looking like a team struggling to find any offense and may miss the playoffs. As the clock hit all zeroes, the Eagles were the ones with the inside track to the playoff and the Giants' season was on the brink. Michael Vick was being mentioned as a candidate for MVP after DeSean Jackson made the most exciting play of the season, which has since been dubbed Miracle at the Meadowlands II.
Down 31-10 midway through the fourth quarter, Vick led the Eagles back with three consecutive scoring drives to tie the game. In the final 8:09, Vick was 6-of-11 for 121 yards with 2 TD passes while rushing four times for 94 yards and scoring another TD on the ground. But as magnificent as Vick was in tying the game, it was Jackson who punctuated this improbable victory with a magnificent 65-yard punt return, crossing into the end zone as time expired.
