June 21, 1964: Perfection

Jim Bunning of the Phillies (now Sen. Bunning, R-Ky.) throws the first perfect game in the National League in the 20th century.  Only one other no-hitter was pitched at Shea, by Bob Moose of Pittsburgh in 1969.  The Mets have never had a no-hitter by one of their pitchers.
