On a Monday night in October of 2002 he scored the go-ahead touchdown midway through the fourth quarter against the Seahawks and out came the Sharpie. Owens reached into his sock, pulled out the marker, signed the ball, and handed it to his financial advisor in the stands. Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren called the display “shameful” and it was “a dishonor to anyone who ever played this game.” But Owens’ own coach Mariucci found nothing wrong with the celebration and he was the same coach that suspended Owens for his celebration on the Dallas star two years earlier.
