On Monday, Orlando Sentinel beat writer, Jeremy Fowler, wrote a piece in which he quoted WR Deonte Thompson saying “You never know with Tim (Tebow). He can bolt. You think he’s running but he’ll come up and pass it to you. You just have to be ready. With (John) Brantley, everything’s with rhythm, with time. You know what I mean, a real quarterback.” Meyer didn't take too kindly to the article and threatened to kick Fowler and the Orlando Sentinel out of future practices if he ever writes something like that again. Fowler stood up for himself since he had simply quoted Thompson but Meyer remained furious.
