Barcelona thoroughly destroyed its La Liga rival on Monday night by the score of 5-0. With Xavi's goal in the 10th minute, Barca grabbed a lead it would never relinquish. Led by two goals just three minutes apart from David Villa, Real Madrid was never truly competitive. Tensions ran high throughout the match, as 12 yellow cards were issued and Real's Sergio Ramos received a red in the 90th minute, perhaps the lone highlight for the sorely overmatched Real Madrid.
