Memphis had a one point lead and the ball with 14.5 seconds remaining in overtime, but New Orleans found a way to win. Marcus Thornton deflected Mike Conley's inbounds pass and Chris Paul recovered it. Paul then led a break which ended with a Thornton reverse layup to put the Hornets up one. Rudy Gay's last ditch effort was too strong and New Orleans held on, 103-102.
