Texas Upends Boston on Opening Day

Boston jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the third inning but could not hold on against Texas. With the game tied at 5 in the eighth, the Rangers scored four in the bottom of the frame on RBI doubles from David Murphy, Elvis Andrus, and Josh Hamilton. Jon Lester yielded five runs - including three homers - in 5.1 innings as the Red Sox fell to the Rangers, 9-5. Adrian Gonzalez had two hits and three RBI in Boston's loss.
