Late in the second quarter, Corey Brewer missed an ill-advised shot. Determined to atone for his mistake, Brewer hustled back down the court and blocked Eric Gordon's layup attempt from behind. Brewer would match Dirk Nowitzki with a team-high 20 points as the Mavericks defeated the Clippers, 107-96.
