Josh Hamilton Breaks His Arm

With one out in the top of the first, Adrian Beltre popped out to the foul territory near third base. Because Victor Martinez left home to try and catch the pop up, the plate was unprotected and - at the urging of his base coach and against his own better judgment - Josh Hamilton tried to tag from third. Martinez lunged for Hamilton and tagged him out, and the play broke the Rangers' star's right arm. Hamilton will miss eight weeks.
