With Chauncey Billups out with an undisclosed knee injury and Amare Stoudemire only playing 18 minutes due to back spasms, Carmelo Anthony did his best to carry the Knicks. 'Melo scored 42 points and grabbed 17 rebounds but it was not enough to stop the Celtics' team effort. Rajon Rondo led the way with 30 points but Boston's other three stars all scored in double digits as the Celtics took a 2-0 lead with their 96-93 win.
