Rajon Rondo bounced back from a gruesome dislocated left elbow in the middle of third quarter and courageously returned to lead the Celtics to victory. Rondo dished out 11 assists but Kevin Garnett was the star with 28 points and 18 rebounds in Boston's 97-81 win. Paul Pierce added 27 while Miami's "Big Three" combined for only 44 points on just 15-41 shooting. The Celtics' win cut the Heat lead to 2-1.
