A huge second quarter for the Mavericks and a number of spectacular bench performances quickly put this game out of reach for the Lakers. Dallas outscored Los Angeles by 20 in the second quarter en route to a 122-86 thrashing. Dirk Nowitzki scored just 17 points - the most of any Mavericks' starter - but Jason Terry, Jose Juan Barea, and Peja Stojakovic scored 32, 22, and 21 points, respectively, to power Dallas. Terry tied an NBA playoff-record with nine three-pointers as the Mavs denied Phil Jackson his fourth three-peat. Dallas now awaits the winner of Memphis and Oklahoma City.
