Michigan trailed 24-7 late in the third quarter but scored 21 unanswered to take the lead 28-24. But then Notre Dame scored with just 30 seconds remaining and the game appeared over. But Michigan connected on a 64-yard pass and then, instead of going for the game-tying field goal, Denard Robinson put it up to Roy Roundtree who came down with the game-winning touchdown. Michigan wins, 35-31.
