Penalty Costs Devils Any Chance at Stanley Cup

The Devils faced a seemingly impossible task of winning the Stanley Cup after falling behind 3-0 in the series. But New Jersey took two in a row to add a little drama to the Finals. In Game 6 though, a penalty by Steve Bernier led to the elimination of any drama. Bernier creams Rob Scuderi into the boards and is whistled for a 5-minute major and tossed out of the game. The Kings capitalized with 3 goals to all-but put the game and the series away. Kings finished off the Devils, 6-1 to win their first ever Stanley Cup.
