Former New York Giants kicker Josh Brown denied that he ever hit or assaulted his then-wife in an interview with ABC's Good Morning America. This was his first interview since he was released by the Giants in October.
"The world now thinks that I beat my wife and I have never hit this woman," Brown said. "I have never hit her. Never. Not once."
In May 2015, a King County Sheriff's Deputy (Washington) responded to their home and Brown was arrested on an assault charge. The prosecuting attorney declined to pursue charges.
Brown was cut by the Giants after documents, including a personal journal written by Brown, were released by the King County Sheriff's department. In the journal Brown admitted he had "been physically, emotionally and verbally" abusive toward his wife.
